Messaging

Helm gives you the ability to send out messages via its internal messaging system to your customers. You can choose to send them to All Users, All Resellers, or a specific user. Click "Messaging" from the Reseller Main Menu.

The Compose Message box lets you send a message out to a defined user or group of users. Write your message in the message field (maximum size of each message is 5000 characters). Type in who the message is from, and then select the recipient:

All Users: -

This sends the message to all users, i.e. all your customers.

The Following User: -

This sends the message to the user you specify in the box to the right of the dropdown box.

Helm also allows you to edit or delete messages that you have already sent. At the top of the screen you can see a list of previously sent message. Clicking one of these will open it up, and you can edit the message:

If you open a sent message, then edit it and click "Save", it will alter the message that is in the recipient’s inbox, so if they haven’t yet seen it then they will see the new one when they open it. Alternatively, you can choose "Delete" to delete the message from the inbox of all recipients. If you have finished looking at the message and don’t want to make changes, click Add New to go back to the Compose Message Screen.
